Privacy notice
GENIO Feed saves and organizes content you choose. This page explains what data the website and Chrome extension process, why it is needed, and how to delete it.
Data we process
- Account data: Firebase identifier, name, email address, profile image, and sign-in method.
- Content you choose: URLs, titles, readable text, metadata, preview images, RSS feeds, notes, highlights, tags, reading status, and reading position.
- Optional newsletter email: your personal GENIO address, sender, subject, date, and content of emails you forward.
- Technical preferences: theme, Reader settings, saved searches, and sync status.
- Optional features: text sent to translation, text to speech, or AI tools; posts and votes on the Feedback board.
- Payments: Coin balance, technical transaction identifiers, and checkout status. GENIO does not receive or store full card details.
Purposes
We use data to sign you in; save and sync your Library; provide Reader, notes, highlights, RSS, search, export, translation, text to speech, AI features, and payments; and support users through the Feedback board. We do not sell data, show personalized advertising, or use page content for advertising profiles.
External services
GENIO uses Google Firebase for authentication, database, storage, hosting, and server functions; Stripe for checkout; Replicate for cloud text to speech; MyMemory for translation; DeepSeek for AI features you explicitly start; and RSSHub when you add a compatible source through that service. Newsletter delivery may use an email routing provider configured by the user, such as Cloudflare Email Routing, which forwards content to a GENIO function. When you use one of these features, the required text or address is sent to the relevant provider. We contact the feeds and pages you request to retrieve your chosen content.
Extension permissions
The extension runs on HTTP and HTTPS pages to discover feeds, extract readable content, and support highlights on the page. It also uses local storage, tabs, downloads, the Side Panel, scripting, alarms, and an offscreen document. These permissions support the stated GENIO features.
Sharing and limited use
Our use of information received from Google APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We do not transfer this data for advertising, profiling, sale to data brokers, or creditworthiness assessments.
Retention and deletion
Data remains available while your account is active or until you delete individual content. You can delete your account and associated GENIO data from Account Center. Minimal payment or security records may be retained when required by law or to prevent fraud; user identifiers are removed where possible.
Security and control
Access to private content requires authentication. The backend validates sensitive actions, votes, and counts. You can export articles as Markdown, remove content, and disconnect the extension at any time.
Contact and changes
For privacy or product questions, use Feedback in Library. Material changes to this notice will appear on this page before they take effect.
Deep Research
When you start Deep Research, GENIO sends the research question and selected evidence to DeepSeek. Public search queries and URLs to retrieve are sent to Parallel Search. GENIO does not send your entire conversation or the bodies of private Library items to the search service. Search queries derived from your question may contain terms you entered. Research results, sources and progress are stored privately in your account; public pages may be reused from your own cache for up to 24 hours.
